As a leader in software publising for Hospital Information Systems, MIPIH is also strongly present on services and outsourcing activities.

Need

In march 2012, the “MIPIH days” were dedicated to the social and ethical issues of the digital hospital. For this special occasion, MIPIH wanted to present an iPad application prototype, interoperable with its product back-end (ERP). Touch-screen technologies and their ecosystem were new universes for MIPIH and its Product R&D team.
Therefore, MIPIH called upon our expertise to assist on the prototype production and the following skill transfer.

Solution

We developed an iPad application for the consultation of medical acts referential for the MPIH, one of the biggest public structure specialized in health sector.

The application benefits from a statistical module, a local database (SQLite) replicated from an Oracle database. Furthermore, the referential is historically recorded, so the doctor can precisely know the applicable legislation during its medical acts.

At the technical level, the application is built around a UISplitView and data are accessible through the API Core Data which is the iOS’s ORM (Object-Relational Mapping). Special efforts were made on the framework settings to reach the ambitious targeted performance goals : a perfectly fluid navigation and an instant multi-criteria search.
